Deputies acquitted

This summer, the death of Matthew Ajibade was ruled as a homicide.  This week, the men who killed him were set free.

In fact, if it weren’t for the video camera attached to a taser gun that was used to torture the young man, there would be no real evidence of anything more than an accidental death due to negligence.  But not even that would be punished in this case.  After all, the victim was black and the people responsible were cops.  And the police don’t serve time — not even for torture and murder.  Some might say especially for torture and murder.  It would set a bad example.  But, hey, the cops were fired — haven’t they suffered enough?

Be seeing you.
