Be careful what you wish for…

A lot of liberals were dancing in the streets last night after U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney, a George W. Bush appointee, ruled Wednesday that California’s capital punishment system is unconstitutional.  The reason given was the decades death row inmates wait before execution.  Hence, the liberals think they won one.  That’s because they don’t lower themselves to think like the opposition.

The Village looks at a ruling like that and says, “Oh, we’re going too slow?  Then let’s take a page from Texas’ book and put in a fast lane.”  And that’s what they’ll do.  Instead of a gurney, inmates will be brought to the death chamber on a conveyor belt — and exit the same way.  They won’t even have to pause to be given the lethal injection.  An intern can run along beside the belt and stab randomly at various veins.  They’re certain to get it right eventually.

Dancing in the streets?  Not for long.  At least, not the liberals.  And the Villagers don’t dance.  They don’t believe in anyone having fun.  Not even them.

Be seeing you.
