Todd Akin, everyone’s favorite gynecologist, is back in the news. It seems that he was going into attention withdrawal so he wrote a book (or got somebody else to write a book and put his name on it — these days, it’s the same thing). In the book, he re-hashes the whole “legitimate rape” argument, and claims that he always knew he should never have apologized for his remarks. They may have been stupid, fatuous, and wrong, but since apologizing didn’t get him the result he wanted, he now wants to take that apology back and re-affirm his original stupidity.
That works for me. Hey everybody — Akin want’s his stupid back!
